Hiking near Palm Springs Motorcoach Resort
What do luxury motorhomes and hiking have in common? Motorcoach Country Club in the beautiful Coachella Valley is an oasis for people who love the motorhome lifestyle and an abundance of activities.
An enthusiastic MCC group meets weekly to hike the many amazing desert and mountain trails. “This week we hiked the Murray Canyon Trail which is located on the land of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians near Palm Springs” said Jan A., one of the group’s organizers. “It was a lovely sunny day with temperatures in the mid-70’s. Seven women caravanned 45 minutes to the parking area and spent the next 3 hours hiking the well-marked trails (which according to www.AllTrails.com is ranked as a top hike in the region). The trails were shared by hikers and horseback riders. The path was moderately challenging taking us over several streams by stepping on strategically placed rocks or log bridges. Providing much appreciated shade were many Palm Oasis’ which truly seemed like a mirage thriving in the desert.”
Hiking is a wonderful social activity where you can exercise body and mind plus have enjoyable conversations and build relationships with your neighbors. Living at Motorcoach Country Club we all have a common bond by choosing to live the Motorcoach lifestyle. We have in common our love of exploring and traveling with the added comfort of living in our home on wheels. It is only natural that there is a large interest in exploring the beauty of Southern California.
