Stretch and Strength

Stretch and Strength

This class combines multiple exercises for both strength and flexibility, including yoga, other stretches, resistance bands, and weights for a multi-disciplinary class meant to not only build strength and flexibility but overall well-being. Yoga mats, weights, and resistance bands will be provided. In addition to these exercises, we will also be learning breath work that can be used to ground and provide strength in everyday situations.

MCC’s four dedicated pickleball courts are open from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every day for open play. All members and guests are welcome. Tuesday’s at 1:00 p.m. we provide clinics for both beginners and experienced players designed to improve skills. We encourage everyone to come experience this fun and healthy sport. We ask you to abide by the requirements for proper footwear, quiet paddles and balls. We want to thank Newell and Liberty coaches for providing sponsorship of our courts. Watch for news of tournaments and other future pickleball events.

BOCCE BALL

BOCCE BALL

Sign-up starts at 12:45 on the bocce ball courts, which are located near the main swimming pool. Entry fee is $5.00 and this activity is a great way to meet new friends in a "laid back" low- key competition. No experience is necessary and new players are always welcome. You will learn the game very quickly. Play lasts approximately 2½ hours. Owners, their guests, and rental guests are all welcome.

MEN’S GOLF

MEN’S GOLF

Join us on Wednesdays on the putting green starting at 8:30 but no later than 8:45 for sign-up. Entry fee is $15.00. All ability levels are welcome and this event is open to owners, their guests and rental patrons. The format varies, but we usually play best ball or a scramble. After the round, the men head up to the Top of the Falls for lunch, prizes and camaraderie.

CO-ED GOLF

Participants meet at the practice green at 8:30 a.m. Owners and renters are invited. There is an $15.00 competition fee. Various games are introduced to the attending golfers, teams organized and then off to play the eighteen holes of challenging golf. At the completion of the day’s contest everyone meets at the Top of the Falls restaurant to enjoy a lunch, hand out rewards, and compare notes on the days game.

WATER AEROBICS

WATER AEROBICS

Motorcoach Country Club has an active water aerobics program. Monday through Friday the main pool is filled with enthusiasts of this low-impact exercise program. Music starts at 9:30 a.m. and ends around 10:30 a.m. There is no cost and all are welcome. Bring your towel, swimsuit and enthusiasm to meet your neighbors to enjoy this healthful and fun event.

LADIES’ CHICKEN FOOT

LADIES’ CHICKEN FOOT

Ladies’ Chicken Foot is a domino game. It is easy to learn and we will teach you if you do not know how to play. We meet upstairs in the Yacht Club and play lasts for about two hours. Bring $5 to play, an appetizer to share and your own beverage. Chicken foot is a great way to meet and enjoy other MCC members. We play every Thursday.

Join the ladies on Thursday on the putting green for sign-up. All ability levels are welcome. Play is open to members and their guests. Players need to bring $7 for the entry fee. After the round, the ladies head up to the Top of the Falls for lunch and laughter.

COUPLES GOLF

Participants meet each Saturday at the Putting Green. Cost is $5.00 per person or $10.00 per couple. Owners and rental guests are invited to play. This tournament is a scramble format encouraging all skill levels to participate. The teams compete for bragging rights and then enjoy lunch at the Top of the Falls restaurant.

Tennis Mixer and Drills

Our two tennis courts, located near the main plaza, are available for play from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Play where the pros practice. You never know who might be practicing on our tennis courts. Occasionally, around the time of the BNP Paribas Open held in nearby Indian Wells, tournament participants use our courts to prepare. MCC has an active tennis program. We encourage all tennis enthusiasts, whether beginners or advanced, to participate. Weekly, a “mixer” is held that provides spirited competition and the opportunity to meet other players. Starting in January, we will feature weekly group drills and instruction by a USTA professional instructor. A ball machine is available for lot owners to use. Both the mixer and drill sessions will be scheduled via the GroupMe app.

No advance sign ups required, Please arrive before 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday’s and 1:30 p.m. on Fridays at the west patio of the top of the Falls restaurant. No entry fee but bring plenty of quarters for the game action. New players are welcome but should contact Leslie Baker for lessons in advance of first time playing. Please note that Wednesdays and Fridays are playing days and not teaching days. Owners, their guests and renters all welcome. We break for lunch at the restaurant together. Please join us on the west patio of the Top of the Falls for a casual game of Canasta. No entry fee and no wagers, just for fun with the group. SATURDAY NIGHT CLUB

Every Saturday During Happy Hour 4:45 p.m. Every Saturday During Happy Hour 4:45 p.m. Each Saturday afternoon members gather at the Top of the Falls restaurant to test their luck in the drawing for cash and prizes. The grand prize of $100 is awarded to the person in attendance whose lot number is pulled from the barrel. If the owner is not present the prize is rolled over to the next week until the money reaches $500. When the pot reaches this level, numbers are drawn until a winner is present for the Saturday Night Club. Smaller awards and prizes are awarded by drawing as well. If you choose to stay for dinner on Saturday night we encourage you (as always) to please make a reservation by using Open Table or calling the restaurant directly.
